The fund seeks to achieve its objective by investing at least 80% of its assets (net assets plus the amount of any borrowings made for investment purposes) in a broadly diversified portfolio of common stocks of medium-sized (mid-capitalization) companies whose earnings the Sub-Adviser expects to grow at a faster rate than the average company. The Sub-Adviser defines mid-capitalization companies as those whose market capitalization, at the time of acquisition by the fund, falls within the capitalization range of companies in the S&P Mid Cap 400 Index or the Russell MidCap® Growth Index.
